How are members selected?

We have an application that’s reviewed for fit. We are looking to ensure you meet the above “Our Members” criteria. All application information is self-reported. Because this community thrives on peer-to-peer support, the purpose of the application is not to exclude anyone but to ensure a positive and meaningful membership experience for every member.

I don’t quite meet the membership requirements; should I apply?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Again, our goal isn’t to disqualify anyone. Most women who don’t meet membership requirements, do meet requirements for our Early Entrepreneur Growth Program which also offers access to The WELL’s membership benefits.

Question 3

Is there a contract or term requirement for membership?

Accepted Answer

There is no contract or term requirement for membership. You are able to discontinue your membership at any time. However, already-paid dues are non-refundable, and you cannot  rejoin for one year.

Question 4

I am not a Black woman; Can I join?

Accepted Answer

This community centers the needs, experiences, and safety of Black cis-women who have been collectively marginalized in all areas of society. The WELL’s goals are aligned with Black cis-women’s economic and psychological freedom and healing. All women/womxn are welcome who honor the goals and purposes we seek to achieve are welcome.

Can I join The WELL at any time?

Our membership application is always open. So you are welcome to apply at any time. However, we review applications and conduct member intake, on a biannual basis,  in January and July. If you apply after the deadline for one intake period, your application will be reviewed and considered during the next intake period.

Can my business partner join with me?

Accepted Answer

We love partnership! However, each person must apply and join individually as each of you will have unique learning and experiences.

Question 7

I don’t live in the United States; can I still join?

Accepted Answer

Yes! It’s one of the reasons we have a virtual membership. Join us from anywhere in the world. Please note that all content is delivered in English.

Question 8

When are monthly meet-ups and monthly co-working days?

Accepted Answer

Monthly meet-ups are the 2nd Thursday of every month from 9am - 12pm EST with yoga or breathwork from 12:30pm - 1pm. The meet-up space remains open for working until 5pm on meet-up days, unless otherwise noted. Co-working days are on the final Friday of each month from 8am - 5pm. Members flow freely during co-working days as there is no programming unless otherwise noted.
