How are YOU leveraging your LinkedIn?

The power of LinkedIn!

While most people are focused on building their audience on Instagram and TikTok, they tend to forget about a hidden gem—LinkedIn.

Whether you're a full-time entrepreneur or working a 9-5, we can ALL benefit from LinkedIn!

Our member, Angela Wells-Sims, utilized the platform to get her business, Durant Bailey Group, off the ground and land her biggest contract yet.

Check out the content strategy she continues to use to market her business and maximize her brand.

Try this easy 1-2-3 LinkedIn strategy today!

1. Export Contacts From LinkedIn

Wondering, "How do I do that?" Don't fret. Here are the steps below!

  • Open LinkedIn, click the "Me" dropdown menu

  • Click "Settings & Privacy"

  • Select "Data Privacy"

  • Click " Get a copy of your data"

  • Select "Connections"

The file will be in CSV format and can be opened easily in Microsoft Excel!

2. Group Your Contacts Into Categories

Group your contacts based on:

  • information and skill,

  • targeted clients, and

  • friends/associates who can help share your business with their network.

3. Develop a Plan for Communicating with Your Contacts

Prioritize your contact categories based on what is most pressing for your business (i.e. recruiting staff, new clients, business partners. etc.), then develop targets and measurable outcomes for communicating with your contacts to accomplish your targeted goals.

Check out these key takeaways from Angela's LinkedIn strategy below:

  1. Don’t Underestimate Your Network

    • You will be surprised at who is willing to support you, even “strangers”

    • You never know who knows who

  2. Be Curious, Learn Your Network

    • We all have a little Jessica Fletcher in us. Use LinkedIn to understand more about your connections and their connections.

  3. Be Strategic

    1. Be intentional about what you do. Time is money—yours and the person you’re connecting with. Be clear on your ask and be ready when the time comes to further maximize your connections.
